Baltimore based singer/songwriter Beya Likhari has been a growing presence in the music scene for two years, and with several vocal-led pieces, she has made a name for herself as Baltimore’s emerging gem.
Drawing influence from her South Asian roots of Bollywood and Punjabi music, Beya’s mesmerizing voice has an affinity towards hip-hop and R&B production that brings out her uniquely soulful melodies and delicate lyricism.
She has released a total of three EP’s: Amplifiers & Vampires, A Drop of Ether and most notably, Love Letters from Lola along with a handful of colorful singles that have gained her significant love from the likes of Saint Heron, BBC Radio 1Xtra, London’s Future Beats Radio, Elle UK and V Magazine.
Beya has served as the opening act for Michael Blume, Eryn Allen Kane and OVO Sound's, Majid Jordan during their respective visits to Baltimore and/or D.C during their North American Tours. She has also supported Chicago poet/rapper Noname, SYD from the Internet and Kari Faux in Baltimore, as well as world-renowned poetess, writer and illustrator, rupi kaur in Toronto and Vancouver.
Beya has been featured in Soulection’s 6 Year Compilation—Promise Once More, featuring Baltimore’s J.Robb and Milwaukee rapper, IshDARR. Most recently, she has paired up with Bay Area producer, singer, and violinist Raaginder on a track titled Stormy Weather off of his debut EP, Escape.
